This weekend in Tampa is the Altamont Demo on Friday (Andrew Reynolds is going to be here!!!) followed by the Steaz Bowl Jam and of course the Back to School Bash Contest on Saturday. Don't forget, you can only register online. There's also an After-Party in Ybor. DJ Colonic will put a tube up your butt. Unfortunately, I am missing all of that. Also this weekend is the Canadian Damn Am right outside of Vancouver in a town called Burnaby. If you can't make it or you get denied at the border after being detained for nine hours like the last time I tried to go to Vancouver, you can watch the whole thing on a live webcast at Skateboard.com. Angel covered for me on yet another event I missed while gone from Tampa: eS Demo at SPoT 2008. I'm in the middle of the extremist fest here in LA and just watched that human skateboard cannonball launcher thing go down. Danny Way is inhuman. A circus trapeeze artist style motocross looking backflip 80 million feet in the air might not look as pretty as a Kenny Anderson switch back smith on a ledge, but you have to respect those guys for pushing the physical limits of what you can do on four wheels and a stick. Some coverage of that and street is coming up after I get caught up.

This Red Bull Flugtag thing sure looked like a damn good time. Too bad (or good) I was in Amsterdam while all this went down. Check out Clem's story and some great photos from Angel who is going to take my job one day: Derewenko sent over some good photos also, but I have to put those up later. I am out of my mind from a 16 hour work day following a long flight home from Barcelona last night. I am now on my way to LA at 6am tomorrow morning for that one extremist fest. Look for me to be in a fairly crappy mood when I get there taking equally crappy photos and talking mad amounts of crap about everything, especially with all the Jake Phelps influence I had the pleasure of over the past couple weeks. Good times in the sketchy skateboard industry. I wouldn't have it any other way.

A couple years ago, I broke my hand on a backside 5-0. Pathetic. Then last year, I rolled my ankle on a 50-50 the first day in Europe. Wow. Oh it gets worse. I just tweaked out my knee on a plain old ollie on that bump to bar. Rad. What’s next? Breaking a leg while pushing? So now I’m limping through Spain with Jake Phelps, Trixie who is five months pregnant and pushing through the streets with us, Tony Trujillo, P-Stone, Schaefer, and DMFP. We just got on a three hour train ride out of Barcelona to this town called Valencia. Our mission: watch Bad $h!t play at some house party there. Then we’re coming back to Barcelona. I'm in Barcelona now with DMFP, P-Stone, and Schaefer staying at Roberto Aleman's house. After traveling here today, we took it pretty easy and now we're all up nerding out at at 2am at Roberto's house. Well, at least some of us. The rest are out lost in this raging party city. Just added about 30 new clips to P-Stone's AmsterDamn Am 2008 Video Footage. Still haven't found the time to do photos. Buenos noches I think means good night. Yeah, good night.
